From an utterly personal love story

One day, as a chance encounter was growing into love, I made a bracelet with the single thought of wanting to convey my feelings to my lover. I had set neither a goal nor a direction, but for the person I loved, my hands were moving without hesitation.

It is not easy to fully understand another person's feelings. That is why I think love is, in the end, an utterly personal experience. When I defined it in my own way without striving to be understood, I was instead able to move toward a deeper relationship.

The conviction and immersion of that moment became the beginning of the brand.

It carries the meaning that my fierce and utterly personal feelings remain as a piece of evidence.

Vegetable-tanned cowhide

FEPEN uses vegetable-tanned cowhide. Instead of chrome or chemical agents, it is tanned with natural tannins obtained from tree bark and plant extracts. This process takes a few weeks at the shortest and a few months at the longest.

Because it does not go through chemical processes, the leather's inherent structure and density remain alive as they are. So the more you use it, the more a change occurs in which it naturally darkens and takes on a distinctive luster, that is, a patina.

Just as the feeling of love is engraved differently in each person, this leather too leaves completely different marks depending on who carries it. We placed greater meaning on the changes made by the time spent together than on the moment of completion.
